I recently made a sculpture of Peter Bear, one of the bears Animals Asia rescued from a bear bile farm last year. He was named after the actor, Peter Egan, who is an ambassador for the charity.
At the big fundraising gala Animals Asia hosted last week in the Gilgamesh Restaurant in London, some of the cast from Downton Abbey performed a small cabaret and a very enjoyable evening was had by all. During the evening Peter Egan got to meet the Peter Bear sculpture and rub noses with each other!

The climax of the event was a big auction that included my Peter Bear sculpture. After an exciting exchange of bidding, the moon bear sculpture was sold for £3,000!

This money will go towards more bear rescues and promotional billboards, adverts, etc. These will seek to educate the Chinese about the cruelty of bear bile production, discourage them from consuming bear products and promote animal free alternatives. What a result!
