Animal Sculpture Workshop Zambia

I’m delighted to introduce you to the Ultimate Animal Sculpture Workshop due to run in Zambia December 2015. I’ll be co-hosting the workshop with award-winning photographer Nick Garbutt. This seven-night safari in Zambia’s South Luangwa promises to inspire a new appreciation of wildlife in you.

We aim to help participants translate what they see in the field into photos and sketches, then finally into finished pieces of photographic or sculptural art.

Early December is a particularly exciting period to be in South Luangwa. The first rains have arrived and the park takes on a fresh flush of green and a wonderful feeling of renewal predominates.

Nick Garbutt and Nick MackmanLast time we ran this workshop I was amazed at what the participants were able to produce. Being totally immersed in the experience of observing, photographing and modelling the animals enabled them to take their skills to a completely new level.

Thank you so very much for organising such a flawlessly beautiful experience. I may never get over it. I want more, more, more. I’m inspired, Nick! Your passion, enthusiasm and curiosity are contagious.

And where else would you get the opportunity to observe wild elephants as you sculpt them from the comfort of the terrace? As you can see from the video clip below, elephants play a big part at Mfuwe Lodge and watching them walk through the lobby is a once in a life time experience.
