During the day, Under Nick’s expert guidance and tuition, you will work on your own animal sculptures.

I did not expect to achieve an animal sculpture bearing any resemblance to the magnificent creatures around us, but I was thrilled with my animals. The decking where we worked was a magical space, our elephant models moving around us seeking out mango. It was a trip I will always remember!

Wildlife ViewingJoin Nick for 2019 in Zambia’s world renowned South Luangwa National Park for a Sculpture Safari combining early morning and late afternoon game derives with animal sculpture workshops, demonstrations and tuition. South Luangwa is one of Africa’s finest national parks and offers incredible wildlife viewing, including leopard, lion, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, hippo and wild dog.

We’ll be based at the award-winning Mfuwe Lodge, situated just five minutes’ drive from the park main gate. At the lodge you can lounge on the open deck or take a dip in the pool overlooking the lagoons visited by giraffe, buffalo, antelope and crocodile. There is even a family of elephants, led by their matriarch Wonky Tusk, which regularly walks through the reception area to feed on wild mango trees in the grounds.

Zambia Sculpture SafariNo prior experience is required and locally sourced Zambian clay, along with modelling tools, will be provided for your use during the workshop. And, of course, Nick will be on hand throughout, with the support of our expert local guides, to ensure you get the most from the game drives, help you develop your observational skills and translate your experiences into clay.

My elephant is sitting pride of place on a window sill and my wild dog looks very calm and relaxed by my table. I can’t believe I made them and neither can my friends!
